Kiss Makeup

  • September 19, 2009 3:14 pm

Get three other friends together and have a KISS make up party. You can draw straws to see who gets which face and then help one another paint it up. When you are all ready hit the Halloween party lines!

Sure the guys wore/wear costumes but really other than keeping it black and wearing heals all you really need is the makeup. Here are the four traditional make up templates for KISS face make up.

Kiss-Make-Up

You can get quality theater make up ahead of time from StageandTheaterMakeup.com: Hypo-allergenic makeup for stage, Halloween or everyday wear.. You’ll need lots of white base but smaller amounts of the other colors for the detailing. Don’t forget the powder to set it and utensils like sponges and brushes for applying.

Wicked Red Shoe

  • August 25, 2009 10:28 pm

I came across these shoes from Zappos today and they immediately brought up images of a decked out vampiress, dark goddess, or a frisky lady bug. These shoes are definitely daring with their 4 3/4″ heels. I loved the concealed platform in the toe. These shoes were designed by Type Z and if you haven’t guessed they are called “Wicked”. They also come in black or navy if you so choose. I was surprised to find they were only $69. Guess it’s the shop and not the shoe that determines the price. Unless it’s a Jimmy Choo.

Glamourous Witch Make-Up

Here’s an excellent video on creating a glamorous updated witch without doing the traditional all over your face green. It is a bit long and you could probably skip ahead five minutes or so.

If you are looking for larger quantities, better quality, reasonably priced, hypo-allergenic makeup check out Stage and Theater Makeup.

The Perfect Halloween Boot

  • August 16, 2009 3:08 am

Whether you are a pirate, a witch, or a vampire, Torrid had the best Halloween boot for completing the look of all three. Black-Plunder-Boot

Currently that style is the Black Plunder Buckle Strap Boot which has a pointed toe and 4″ heel that means business. They are available in sizes 7 to 10 for an affordable $58 with I believe a little wider calve.

If you usually have difficulty with your calves fitting into boots Torrid supplies the measuresments for different sizes so if you are concerned you can check to be sure.

Regardless of the season Torrid always seems to have a great boot style perfect for plundering throughout the year. Go kick some butt!
